I saw the previews to this on another DVD somewhere and thought it looked like a cute, fun, movie.

In the first few minutes Cloudy with Meatballs had me laughing out loud. There are some nice sharp bits in the script.
The animation is well produced as one would expect from a big budget Sony flick.
My problem with the movie, is it loses absolutely any connection - what so ever - with reality halfway through. O.K. I know its a kids movie about raining hamburgers, but still… Normally movies set up rules of their universe, and then wind up breaking them - this movie doesn’t even bother to set up the rules in the first place.
Some of the gags are worked over and over to the point where they lose their humor.
Bonus points for the nice voice casting.
I am not recommending this movie, because I can’t recommend everything and there are better things to spend your time on.
