I was in the video store when this movie was recommended to a girl perusing the isle. A couple days after I caught the preview on another DVD rental, and thought the play on Alice & Wonderland could be an interesting and engrossing watch.

This movie was a little slow. It was a character driven drama with “day dreaming” type fantasy scenes casting the characters of the movie with dual parts as characters from Alice in Wonderland. Fannings performance was good, as was Patricia Clarkson.
Entertaining. Would have liked to have seen more Alice in Wonderland, and the musical number was not climatic enough as a pivotal part in the movie.
