Great Script
Great Acting
None
I was a bit worried this movie would be long winded, and over dramatic.
A Bogart classic. This was a really entertaining movie to watch. The premise was so simple, but everything was done well and the script progressed realistically.
In some old movies you can find a spot or two that are so dated your mind starts to wander… no so with Sahara - once you start watching you’re hooked.
Stands up against any War movie made in the last 30 years…

Sahara takes place during the early stages of WW2, I guess before the Americans officially entered. The sotry focuses on an American tank crew, the sole surviving unit fighting alongside British troops in Africa.
Given the order to retreat, Joe Gunn (Bogart), begins moving south through the desert. What starts out as a simple fall back and retreat, turns into a life risking mission to find water.
Along the way the American tank crew picks up a handful of british troops, a Sudanese soldier, a French Soldier and an Italian and German prisoner.
After taking refuge at a ruined well, the group of Allies realize they must delay a Nazi battalion and give the Allies a chance to reform their lines. The group convinces the Nazis there is a large store of water at the ruined well, and attempts to fight them off as long as possible…
Nine with a tank versus 500 foot soliders need I say more?
